Mahindra 2615
Hi new to site, I'm looking for a used BH for my mahindra 2615. The dealer wants $7000.00 for a new one and thats out of my budget. Does anybody know if any other mahindra's take the same BH and frame mount and what model I need for my tractor thanks paul

Hi Paul, Welcome to the site.

I've been looking for a used one for my 2615 for several years. They are very hard to come by and I doubt I'll ever find one unless someone trades one in on a tractor and the dealer is willing to sell it separately.

You can use any 3 pt. hitch BH but it should be attached to a subframe so it doesn't stress the tractor. I've seen some new ones on Ebay complete with PTO pump for about 4K. I'll probably get one of those and build my own subframe. At this time I have other items more important than buying a BH. Plus I've really only needed a BH 5 times in the past 7 years and was able to borrow one. I don't like to do that in case something breaks. I'd fix it if it did, just don't like to borrow someone elses.

The ones I see on Ebay are made by Taylor Way model 766, Woods BH6000, and Mateng BH6600. All are around 4K price.

One member here has the Woods on his 2615 but isn't using a subframe. Several have the factory BH, and some the Taylor Way.

From the pics, the Woods and Taylor Way BH's look to be well built. I've PMed owners of both and they are pleased with there use.

Thanks so much for the info, I have been calling a bunch of dealers all over the us and couple of them said they would sell the BH off the mahindra but all said they dont have any in stock and told me to keep calling and checking back to see if they got one. I guess at the end of the day you have to be at the right place at the right time. How do you like the 2615 I just bought mine and can't wait to use it, but have to wait for the snow to melt here in CT thanks again for the info paul

Hi Paul,
I like mine a lot. I bought mine new in 2004. Have about 374 hrs. on it now ( only use it 50-60 hrs a yr.). I change the oil and filter every year even though the hours don't require me to. I use it every time it snows. Clear out 2 driveways on properties I own and also do a few neighbors. I've used it for logging, lifting, 3 pt. plowing. back blading, grading, raking, moving dirt & stone etc. Hundreds of uses. I had a homemade cab on it for a few years but it didn't hold up so this year I bought a soft cab with a glass windshield and an electric heater for inside. Man that works so great I don't even have to wear gloves while plowing. I've made a lot of my own 3 pt. devices from ideas I got here on TBN (a great wealth of info here). Best of luck with your tractor.
Only problems I've had were the loader valve was leaking internally causing bucket to drop by itself. That was replaced under warranty and I had to replace the glow plugs. Other than that just routine maintenance.

Paul look for a Woods 6500,7500 or even the newer 70X,80X
These are all backhoes that will work on your tractor with the correct subframe from a Woods dealer.
You may also want to look for a backhoe off of a 7000 series Cub Cadet as they are the same machine and they used a Woods backhoe for the OEM.
Hope this helps you out a little.

Considering the weak point back where the 3 point arms hook up - I would never ever try a 3 point with this tractor. I have heard of too many casings breaking from mostly normal use.

I wouldn't try it either. I probably worded it wrong. My point was he could use any 3 pt type BH but it needs to be mounted to a sub frame.

Hi George, I have a Mahindra 2516, bought new in 08, I`m also looking to buy a BH with a sub frame. This past Fall I bought a soft cab like yours, but no Heater. Where did you get yours? Hope to chat again....

I bought the heater from a seller on Ebay but a lot of RV stores sell it too. It's a 12V 300W ceramic heater model RPSL-681. and sells for about $40 plus shipping. (I paid around $52 shipped to my door).

I wired it direct to the battery but installed a heavy duty toggle switch shut off in the hot lead. Do a net search for a RoadPro RPSL-681 and you should get a bunch of places that sell it.

Without the cab and heater my fingers would get cold even with gloves on. Now with the cab / heater I don't even need the gloves and the heater keeps the windshield clear.

The cab I bought from RJPartsco.com
Its for a 2816 but the 2816,2615, and 3015 all have the same body style.
