Buying Advice Backhoe attachement

Does Kubota make a backhoe attachment for a L5040? I have decided I could really use a backhoe and do not want to get rid of my 5040. Also, if they do not, what other brands would you recommend or do I have to trade my tractor? Thanks.

looking at there website last, and going through "build my own tractor" they were offering 9ft backhoe for all tractor sizes i went through.

According to this feature sheet, the Kubota BH77 and BH92 would both fit your GL5040

I have a L4740 and the BH92 is a great attachment for it and will work flawlessly on your machine.

That's what I was quoted 3 years ago so I would have to say decent deal since steel and everything else has skyrocketed since. Wish I had one on mine...

Well I just ordered a Woods BH90X and I'm at $10,500 and I'm installing it myself. That is with a hydraulic thumb though. I would say that you got a fair price.

Does that include a substantial sub frame? Hope so. $9K installed looks a much better option in that I would azz-u-me that any factory install would include a factory subframe.

BH90 vs BH92, i suspect i paid more for the newer (92) with the curved boom but am now wondering if it just looks cool or there really is an advantage. I suspect there is some advantage in the strength the arch can provide when pulling towards the tractor but has anyone looked to see if there are any other significant design changes b/w the two. Also if the design is stronger then perhaps the steel thickness or grade changed as is often the case w design changes...they usually mean cheaper material costs.
