Iv'e just got a back hoe for my Kubota B1610 and the 12" bucket gets stuck up and doesn't empty- I am digging pretty wet and stodgy clay, but has anyone got any tricks to help it drop out. Digging it out every time with a spade slows the operation down to a snails pace!!

on another post regarding snow blowers clogging a suggestion was made to try spraying with PAM non stick cooking spray. Might work on your problem also.
Also make sure the sides of bucket have not been deformed through sidewards pressure causing a pinching at the opening

I had that same problem in wet clay and my cousin who had backhoe experience stopped by and mostly solved it by increasing rpms and making sure that I uncurled it smartly until it hit the limit, the jarring effect would almost always empty the bucket. Another thing I had discovered was that when I had a large rock near I was able to tap the bucket against it and it would empty.

OR...one could always find a dryer/sandier place to play with the backhoe.

Try waxing the inside of the bucket (downhill ski wax works OK). I've never compared, but I would THINK this would hold up longer than the nonstick cooking spray. (Of course it takes longer to put on than the spray ...)
