back-hoe bucket extension

has anyone ever made a bolt-on extension for their back-hoe bucket? i've got some areas where if i just had about 2`+/- more of reach it would be a big help. there wouldn't be any heavy digging. thanks

Most guys own more than one size bucket for their bachhoes. Presently I have a 12 inch bucket and I am going to get a larger one come spring. They are easy to swap buckets.

In the past I know John Deere Commercial backhoes had extensions. There a pain and really slow but do work. But then any time you are digging over the length of the dipper it's slow going.

Whoops I totally blew that 1st post as I thought he was asking about a way to make an existing bucket hold more dirt. Senior moment folks, sorry. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

seems that with an extra 2 feet, it may be hard to curl the bucket enough to retain the dirt without hitting the stick.
