Back Finally!

Well, up until recently I was between houses so I couldn't connect to the internet. Now I'm back as a full participant of TBN! So much to write about. Had my TC35 fixed for the HST recall (might pop out of range gear). Had the the dealership install factory top and tilt valves, though I opted only for the tilt cylinder (I don't have a box blade yet). The dealer also put in some valves in the coolant bypass hose. Now the tractor heats up much more quickly. I think I'm going to get the dealer to replace the tilt cylinder. I seem to be experiencing a lot of leakdown (1" per half hour). This makes it very hard to mow the grass level. Anyone have an opinion for acceptable leakdown rate?

I also bought a Landpride RB3584 back blade with gauge wheel. What an incredibly useful implement. I've recrowned the road, dug a trench for a sump pump runoff pipe and later I can plow snow with it. I'm glad that it has all the adjustments. I've used the offset, tilt and angle adjustments. I learned at least one new way to get carelessly injured. When the blade is fully raised on the three point, be careful when setting the offset adjustment. The 500 plus pounds of the blade want to flop to one side or the other (since it is tilted upwards) so it can easily get away from you. Even when you expect it, it can be a handful.

Lastly, does anyone have a source for light switchs that plug into the TC35 dashboard? The weather has taken its toll on my cheap-o switches and it's time to buy the right kind.

Peter, I can relate to the rearblade I've got the same series of landpride blade with a guagewheel as well. It's a very usefull tool. The next thing you might consider getting for it is the endplates. Not that expensive compared to what you just spent and makes a world of difference.

Usually when doing a drive I use just one endplate on the trailing edge of the blade. That way the gravel won't just fall off the edge of the blade. Tends to give a more even outflow and underflow of the gravel for a quicker job.

With both plates on it's like a boxblade with no teeth.
