HWP... Just curious. What would happen if you bought that piece of equiptment and took it back accross the border? Our taxes are pretty bad down here and getting worse but I imagine they would poke you pretty good for something like that. Of course talking about taxes on here is probably not a good idea since Big Brother is always watching us little guys.

Tom: I have never tried bring a piece of equipment across the border, but have done so with cars and parts. There probably is no tariff as such but we would have to pay provincial and federal taxes on the price paid including US taxes in US$, converted to C$. My rule of thumb is that for anything I buy stateside my total cost me in C$ will be twice the listed in US$.
