sorry it took so long but here are some pics hope that is the problem because it is an easy fix
there is a snap ring on the inside of the 3pt lift arm. the problem with mine was not that it would not slide on the rod, the real problem was that the fitting was not rotating in the 3pt lift arm so it was binding on the rod.
I don't think I had to touch the bolts and spring I just pulled the snap ring and pulled the fitting off the arm with pliers and greased the part that goes inside the 3pt lift arm
if you do have to touch the bolts make sure it is properly adjusted, this feedback linkage controls how far the 3pt lifts and is adjusted so that there is still some freeplay in the arms after they reach the top. If there is no more freeplay the cylinder is bottomed out and it may damage it.
hope that helps and again sorry for it being so long but better late than never
SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE!!
After reading your post a couple of times and definately looking closely at the pictures I found the problem. This rod was binding up just as you said and a little grease fixed it up like new. Actually it moves very very easy and goes up super quickly. Thanks again for taking the time to help a fellow Kubota owner on such an easy to fix issue (thanks to your info).
