I'm 1/2 done with making new 3pt arms. I like the sliders on my L4240, so I thought I would make some for my B7800. Waiting on the weld on ball ends right now, then the other one well get done and painted. Couldn't wait until I was done to post the pictures.

Those look really nice! Any way to beef up the tractor end of them?

Not sure what you mean by beefing up the tractor end? I used cat 1 weld on ends on both ends. They have a cat 2 end but the hole is to big. Are you talking about where the end hooks on the rod at the tractor? If so I'll have to look at that.

Very nice! I posted a long time ago asking if anyone knew of a source for these types of ends (with no results). I have started designing my own since. Can you post more details of yours please? Did you model these after the ones on your L4240 or is it your own brew?
I think all tractors should come with this feature - attaching implemtents can be a strenuous and dangerous excercise.

Yes they are made just as the L4240 are. When I get the weld on ends I'll take pictures as I go and you can see how I got the offset and the lenght to match the B7800.

Nice work ! As you know....... they are gonna make your life so much easier. I love the extendable arms on my 3030...... they eliminate the need for any kind of quick hitch, Pat's, etc. as far as i'm concerned. Since i'm not as skilled as you, i'da ended up having to buy the factory Kubota pieces. Looking forward to more pics as your project moves along. :)

My Ford 7710 came without the 3pt arms, and I have been looking off and on. Found a set off a "six cylinder tractor" as the old Ford dealership owner described them. It had them fancy slider thingys too!
Still haven't bothered to try them out, since it requires removing a rather large boom mower to put them on.

You sure well like them when you hook up to something. They should have the parts in by now and I should have some more pictures by the end of the week. I had to use the 7800 the other day and found out one thing. That ball has to move easy, if not (like mine) it's like not even having the sliders. Got to get the ball to move easy!!!

Here is the other arm and how I done the offset. Picture 1 is the jig and #2 & 3 get set to weld. #4 is after I cut it. #5 is welding the latch on. And # 6 is all welded just have to drill a 1/4" hole for the lever, paint both arms. Then they are done.
