Oil & Fuel B7610 engine oil filter

Does anybody out there know if theres a direct replacement, commonly available engine oil filter for the B7610,like maybe a Fram or some other decent brand?If so,maybe you would be kind enough to give me the brand,and part#'s. Gotta be somebody out there thats checked this out.

If you machine is still under warranty, I'd spend the extra dollar or five and use the Kubota branded from the dealer. Cheap insurance in case something catastrophic happens during the warranty period.

I'll second Skidmark.

Bought a Napa oil filter for my 7610 in the late fall. It is considerably smaller than the Kubota one it replaced. Considerably.

And it saved me about $1.75.

Wanted to do a quick oil change and needed to get a filter ASAP.

This spring I'm replacing it with a Kubota brand from tractorsmart.com, because I'm not comfortable with the smaller filter being in there through mowing season.

Never again...

The mobil-1 filter for my B2410 (should be the same as 7610) is M104. I double checked that with Mobil’s tech line. Fits better than the OEM filter in my application (though yours might be different.) If you start digging deep into specifications from various manufacturers you’ll find there are slight differences in diameter for the same application. The older OEM Kubota filter appears was slightly smaller diameter and cleared the bottom water hose better. When I used the latest OEM filter it was tight up against the bottom radiator hose. The M104 Mobil-1 was the slightly smaller diameter and gave me just a slight clearance. Perhaps a hose positioning issue, but it is factory never been touched that I can tell. Doubt there is any real danger of heat problems with the hose touching the filter, but it made it hard to judge how tight you were tightening the filter. Best thing is the M104 is the same one I use on our Honda mini van.

thanks guys,its not that i think genuine Kubota filters are that much $$$,
its just that i dont really get to my dealer that much.I'll keep the #'s just in case of an emergency oil change...........digger2

The difference in oil filters is their rating in nominal and absolute micron rating which can be had to get. Nomial being the average of the particule size and absolute being the minimum. Engine manufactures are terrible at specing filter size as they would rather some dirt get around than starve an engine of oil. This would get they in big time warrenty problems. If you want to spend the money install a side stream oil filter system and quadruple or more the time frame between oil changes and get all the contaminats out of oil. The oil is then limited by the live of the additive package of the oil.

i know its been a long time since this post, but i went thru this yesterday: found a couple AC filters that are "suppose" to be a substitute also: PF1127 and PF2135: i haven't been able to get the specs AC filters like i can the WIX, so i don't know if they have anti drain back valves or not:

I ran across this site a few years ago. It is a comparison of filters by manufacturer. A lot of information to study.

Compare the Fram Extra Guard to the Wix filter. The Fram has 193 square inches of filter media as compared to the Wix with 349 square inches. Both filters are basically the same dimensions. Which one would you try to push cold oil through and which one would become clogged first assuming they were the same micron filtration?

I use Carquest filters as they are manufactured by Wix and no I am not a Carquest employee...

If I were to use a aftermarket filter it would be a Wix. They are very high quality on the inside. Fleetguard and Baldwin are also very good filters. Fram filters are nothing but junk on the inside.
