Why would my front tires spin and my rears won't when pulling on logs? But all is fine when there is no load on the tractor.

I jacked the tractor up and all seems tight.

Is the front end driven differently than the rear as far as the clutch is concerned (ie a seperate electronic controlled clutch or gear)? The rear end acted like the clutch was slipping, but the front acted strong.

Any ideas?

Thanks

This is a Kubota tractor

I'm going to guess you don't have a loader or front weights on your Kubota.

When you're dragging logs, there is a weight transfer to the rear. Less weight on the front axle results in less traction, hence the spinning.

That's my guess...

Would not operate a tractor with out a FEL. I do have a FEL plus a 60# front bumper. Rears would just stop spinning while fronts marched on.

Thanks
