Thanks. I was thinking that I would have to remove a tire. That's why they don't pay me for thinking! I hope to have this oved and done with Friday evening/Saturday morning.

Thanks for the photo. That cleared up a lot. Do you remember the cost of your conversion? I've seen $60 and $130.
Also, when you unfastened the long pin that anchors the spabilizers to the axle case, did the components come apart easily? Was there much play in the original parts that slipped over that anchor pin?
The reason I'm asking is that when I tried to take mine apart, it wouldn't budge. And after looking at the components for a while, I realized that the pin might be bent.

If you loosen the center lock nut and back off the center set screw far enough, there should be enough play to move the shaft to each side. I put a screwdriver in one of the terminal lockpin holes on the shaft to rotate the shaft before sliding it to the left or right. Initially, I used also used the drawbar (instead of a hammer) to tap the end of the shaft to help free it up so it would move. My setup cost about $140 with tax, same as in the first post.
I have seen that some people do this installation with fewer parts, but they have to reverse the stabilizers and cut off part of the stabilizer arm sleeve. I think that's where some of the confusion lies.

If I remeber correctly, the parts were around $120, but the dealer gave me credit for the old (but unused) parts and it was a net $60 or so.
Dannyk answered the question on the long pin - need to loosen the bolt.
It was an easy fix, and sure made life easier when mounting 3PH stuff.......................chim
