I own a Kubota B7300 with MMM, and B2400 with MMM and FEL. The B2400 3 pt hitch has position control. Now, considering a B7500 purchase with MMM and FEL, but does this Kubota have position control? Also, what is the Kubota model FEL for a B7500? I know B7510 has position control, not sure of B7500. Anyone have knowledgeable answers? Thanks.

Loaders used on the B7500 were LA271, LA272 and the LA272(FL-!). The la271 had no valve option but the LA272 had 2 option. One is B2006 (standard) and the B2007. As for the position control ? I don't know.

I have a B7500 with an LA302 loader. The La-302 has the standard up, down, float and tilt. The 3 point has lift, lower, and hold. No position control.

The B7500 does not have position control on the 3pt. Unfortunately. I owned one for 8 years. and when using a rotary cutter, you will need to "touch up" the height every 15 minutes or so. I solved that by putting wheels on the front of my rotary cutter, and let them run along the ground. That does make some ruts when turning.

Many thanks for replies to my B7500 questions. Can buy a like new 300hr, 4X4, hydro B7500 with 60"MMM and LA271 FEL for $8000, but involves considerable trip. Same Kubota in my area is $4000+ higher. Position control is really nice, but not absolutely necessary. Can look for B7510 or B2320; will also require out of State travel for 2/3 price of my area. That $8000 price is really attractive though. Thanks again!

The B7500 is a great machine, i ran one for years! Ask any dealer, they will tell you they sold lots of them and had very few problems!

Lawn_King, I bought the B7500. Two day trip. Nice machine. From inspecting the B7500, the B2400 appears to be a better machine. Don't know about B7510 or higher "B"s. Will know more after actually using the B7500. I am staying in the "B" range because can easily transport on F650 flatbed with the FEL attached (tractor has 60" wheelbase). My farm tractors can only be moved on flatbed trailer. Very impressed with Kubota. It's truly a miniaturized farm tractor. Considered 65" wheelbase Kubota, but larger than needed for now. The 2400, 7300 and 7500 all use same model MMM (need MMM and not 3pt mower). Would prefer MMM to be suspended from tractor, not running on ground. Those little wheels are $$$. May try the chain suspension technique (suggestions?). Many thanks for your response.

You could use check chains and not the front wheels, just like DonW is talking about. I had a woods mower that used them and it worked great.

Here is information about "check chain" source plus installation to control a rotary cutter:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...271185-kubota-b3300su-zerco-check-chains.html

I have been using this rig for two years and it has been excellent. Hanging check chains from the ROPS bracket has been no problem. Really very little weight on the bracket.

Smaller chain segment for fine adjustment not necessary. I find myself using a single chain link as control position all the time.

Snug down all rotary cutter frame bolts from time to time or replace split washers with Nord Lock anti-vibration washers.
