B7500 Delivered this morning . Thanks for everyone's help in my decision making process . A big thanks to Brady Barlow who was a big help even though i did not end up buying his tractor . Stand Up Guy ! .

I ended up with a 2001 B7500 with FEL and a 54" mower deck 450 hours . The dealer i bought it from did a full service all fluid and filters before delivery . My grass is dead ( we need rain ! ) so i won't be doing much mowing .

Thanks Again

Thanks TripleR .

I came close to buying John Thomas's BX2660 and exchanged quite a few emails with Brady , but i ended up deciding i would prefer the extra height and extra lift weight from the 3ph .

Congratulations! I think you'll enjoy your tractor. I have almost the same B7500 which I bought new in 2003 (I think). Mine has the non-folding ROPS, but thankfully it fits through a standard 7' garage door. I'm almost ashamed to admit mine has only 160 hours, but never one problem.

I can sure understand that. When I bought my BX2660, I was looking at the B Series because of the added height and lift capacities. I went with the BX2660 as I have other tractors to do the heavier stuff. If I was restricted to only one it would be one of the B's; great all around machines.

Thanks . The first thing i did was fold down the ROPS if they weren't folded i would be looking for a new garage door :) .

So far i have put about a hour on just cruising around trying things out . Used the bucket to mix up my neglected compost pile and moved some ash from a old burn pile . Alot better ride then my lawn mower

I am curious about the rear tires. Would like to know how well they work. Saw them on several when I was shopping.

If you haven't yet, give taking the loader off a try. It is super easy and makes it a completely different machine.

My B7500 with non-folding ROPS and the loader removed.

So far i like the tires but i have only put a hour on it :D no damage to the lawn when turning . I almost took the FEL off today just to do it but we are finally getting some rain so i will try it tomorrow . The mower looks to be the bugger to get off . have you tried that yet ?
Good looking tractor too !

Mower is easy IF you have the loader on. There are 2 pins, a lever and the quick connect on the shaft.

Basic steps:

1) Lower mower all the way to the ground.
2) Locate the rear spring pins connecting the mower to the lift linkage.
3) Pin linkage in the "up" position using the spring pins and the little swinging "ears", they may be zip tied in place.
4) Release the lever by the left front wheel.
5) Reach up and uncouple the PTO shaft by pulling the collar back.

At this point, the deck should be free of the tractor. You may need to raise the lift to get everything out of the way.

Now, using your loader, lift the front end of the tractor as high as you can.
The deck can then be swung out by rotating it out under the front tire.

To get enough lift on mine, I had to start with the bucket level on the ground and raise as high as it could, then curl it down to get higher. Curl is stronger, so you can't start with it curled and lift with the raise/lower.

Common sense applies as well. Do not get under it when it is lifted with the loader, be sure to not reach where you would get your arm caught in the loader should it fall either.

I had one I just traded in for a L3400, It was a good tractor, just 202 hours, but it was a hear tractor, and I wanted bigger and a Hydro. It never gave any trouble in 8 years.

A buddy of mine who has a couple of tractors told me " what ever you get make sure it is a hydro " . I think he was nervous for me because this is my first tractor experience besides a riding lawn mower .
