Backhoe B75 Problems

Folks,
I have a B7800 with 55 hrs and less than two hours on my B75 Backhoe. In the first hour a hydraulic line busted and I replaced that. Today I was re-positioning the tractor so I pulled the lever back and the boom came all the way back and it now will not move down. It seems like it came back too far because it gauged the frame. Not sure if it is a bent cylinder in the boom? No, leaks and the dipper and bucket work?
Unfortunately it is out of warranty. Shouldn't it have a stop that prevents the boom coming back this far?
Frustrated?

You have a BH75 backhoe. Try Searching on it (e.g., "BH75 problem"), a few years ago there were a ton of threads about problems with this unit. I vaguely recall a problem similar to what you decribe, with one of the "stops" not being positioned correctly.

Based on the problems with bent dipper rods, etc. people were having at the time, it seemed like Kubota royally screwed up this unit. Back in the day I would've tried to talk you out of buying one. Sorry, I know that's little consolation now... hopefully it's nothing too serious.

THE B75 BACKHOE HAS MANY PROBLEMS WITH BENT BUCKET CYLINDERS.IF YOU ALSO LET THE BOOM COME BACK TO FAR IT WILL LOCK BACK.YOU WILL NEED TO TAKE A CHAIN TO PULL IT FORWARD TO GET IT PASS THE STOP TO GET IT WORKING AGAIN.

i went to kubota in atlanta office about my bh75a bending 2 bucket cylinders.they told me to take it to the nearest dealership and get the pump preasure checked.preasure was found to be at factory specifications.dealership contacted atlanta home office and they sent a new cylinder to replace broken unit. i am very happy with the kubato corporation handle this.i have been operating heavy equipment and backhoes for 43 years and am very happy with the way they took care of me.vaughn patterson
