B7100HST vs. B2150HST Differences

I recently bought what was represented to me as a B2150HST. However, on the transmission is a tag designating it as a B7100HST-D, 4 cycle, 3 cylinder. The engine is a 4 cylinder. Any comments would be welcome.

Here's a link where you can find specs on both machines.
The B7100 is a great tractor but at a glance it seems to be much smaller than a 2150.

The B7100HSDT used a D750-A engine - three cylinder 16 HP engine and the B2150HST used a V1200-5B engine - four cylinder 24 HP engine.

The styling on the B2150 is more modern looking and the B7100 is very basic.

Check the transmission housing for the tag or stamped numbers like "B2150HSD" followed by a 5 digit serial number.

Maybe someone sliced together a tractor from parts.

A quick search in images.google.com for b2150 will show you a pic of what it should look like.

The B-7100 is a two range transmission and the B-2150 is a three range.

Mine definitely looks like a B2150 and it is a three range (low/medium/high) transmission however the plate/tag that is riveted on the transmission states B7100HST-D.
I knew it had issues when I purchased it. And slow but sure i'm working the bugs out of it. One thing for certain, the previous owners were not electicians.
It is a welcome addition to the farm. When it's running.
