Traction B7100HST creeping

Hi, all!

Just bought my first tractor for my hobby farm in Oregon, and haven't even taken delivery yet.

My on-scene expert tells me that the Kubota B7100HST creeps forward very, very slowly when
neither the forward nor reverse pedal is pushed.

I'm not terribly concerned about this, and I recall reading that many HST tractors tend to do it.

On the other hand, do any owners know if this is something a simple adjustment might cure?

Many years ago my Ford 1210 crept forward very slowly. Linkage adjustment fixed it.

Welcome to TBN. Creeping is not normal or acceptable. Most times its a simple fix. It could be because the hydro pedal is not self-returning to the neutral position. A shot of lubricant or grease to the hydro pedal pivot would be my first suggestion. A new return spring the second.

Underneath there will be a V shaped plate with a roller that centres at the neutral position. Make sure the roller is on the V correctly, lubricated and operating properly. Some adjust can be done here.

For really fine adjustment you will find a plug on the right side of the transmission. Remove the plug and you will find an eccentric adjustment bolt/screw for small corrections.

Taking off the top metal cover housing the filter will give better access to the main adjustment arm. Sometimes the bolt holding it on the shaft loosens up.
