Bit of History, this Tractor has been badly neglected, I am trying to rebuild it as I go along but it would be nice to get the Slasher and FEL which are currently living half way down my drive.
I read a thread here that described how to change the O ring seals on the 3PH piston, Did that and the world was good, well for a while anyway.
The 3PH stayed where it was meant to be and didn't sag. The toggle switch worked and drove the FEL arms up but the bucket ram didn't work so I dropped the arms and removed the FEL. One thing I did notice is that the pressure relief didn't sound off which it used to when using the FEL.

Due to the incline on my drive, I can't take it up the hill without ballast on the front. So I lowered the 3PH, and just to make sure, raised it again. It would go up a bit, stop and then go up a bit more and stop... till it reached the limit of travel. After a while it wouldn't even do that. I checked Hyd/trans fluid and all is good.

So, where to start?
Ball valve in the control rod assy - Pressure relief valve - Or the Hyd pump itself? Strainer?

Any ideas?

Not sure the year of your B7100 etc.
Do you have knob on the right side under your seat maybe w/arrow on top..make sure pointed open to let hyd.flow.

Checked that, yes, left is hyd flow, right is accessory. So the problem isn't there.
It is a B7100 D, late 70's model 4WD, not the HST version

Took the strainer out and it was caked in gunk. That is now clean but since I have the Hyd oil drained I might as well check the control valve and Hyd pump.

While I am at that, has anyone had experience splitting the B7100 ?
There was a bit of metal on the strainer and 2nd and reverse gears are not as sweet sounding as 1st and 3rd. My guess is a few missing teeth on the middle shaft but once again,
Any ideas greatfully accepted.

I split my B6100 to replace the clutch. That post is on here, you can find it if you search by my name. I did not go into the transmission.

I also had hydraulic issues which ended up being a stuck pressure relief valve in my FEL controller. Lotsa pics on my posts. You could post some of your rig, we all like pictures.

Thanks both Thomas and KubotainNH for the info. The old girl is 28 according to her serial number so a bit of TLC won't go astray.
