Bit of History, this Tractor has been badly neglected, I am trying to rebuild it as I go along but it would be nice to get the Slasher and FEL which are currently living half way down my drive.
I read a thread here that described how to change the O ring seals on the 3PH piston, Did that and the world was good, well for a while anyway.
The 3PH stayed where it was meant to be and didn't sag. The toggle switch worked and drove the FEL arms up but the bucket ram didn't work so I dropped the arms and removed the FEL. One thing I did notice is that the pressure relief didn't sound off which it used to when using the FEL.
Due to the incline on my drive, I can't take it up the hill without ballast on the front. So I lowered the 3PH, and just to make sure, raised it again. It would go up a bit, stop and then go up a bit more and stop... till it reached the limit of travel. After a while it wouldn't even do that. I checked Hyd/trans fluid and all is good.
So, where to start?
Ball valve in the control rod assy - Pressure relief valve - Or the Hyd pump itself? Strainer?
Any ideas?
