My B3300 runs fine at any RPM, but shuts off almost immediately as I go forward or reverse, almost like a safety switch is causing it to turn off. I have reviewed alot of posts relating to this but I have already taped the switch under my seat and I know its not fuel related. Playing with the gear shifter (its hydro-static) sometimes helps it seems. What could be causing this?

Mine only has seat switch. No other safeties for motion. Maybe switch is bad. I'd try jumping it out.

I'd also say seat switch. You say you taped it but it probably needs to jumped or replaced. On my tractor the parking brake has to be released or the engine will quit too.

I thought there was a sensor behind the rear tire for the forward/reverse pedal too? I have two switches on my seat, one for the operator weight and then another that gets pushed if you tip the seat up which I have no idea its purpose..? If I take the two wires that go to the switch and just connect them, will that basically by-pass the switch and keep it engaged all the time?

I had the same problem on my BX. I found I needed a wiring diagram to find all the 4-5 interlock switches in that circuit on my BX. Found the culprit and fashioned a new anchoring device to fix the one behind the right rear tire that would not stay adjusted properly. Their is a old post I did on that in the archive. I will try to resurrect it.

Seat up is for when running something from the PTO without an operator (at least on my tractor). An example would be when running a wood chipper.

Is the parking brake set? Could it be stalling out vs. safety trigger?

When it's misbehaving it sticks & my tractor won't start until I fiddle around with the pedal or spray it to lubricate it. Someday it may pi$$ me off enough to get at it with more than a spray.
