B3030HSDC A/C problem

I don't know about your system, but on mine the instructions say to close these off while operating the AC by turning them from top to bottom about half way blocking airflow out.

Even when they are 'closed', some warm air still comes out around the edges. Its not a big issue, but on the hottest of days I'd like to be able to shut off the heat completely.

Keep us posted as there is no such thing as too much cool air in these things. I used mine all day yesterday and while the air coming out of the vents was quite cool, I would have liked the cab temp to have been a little cooler. The AC in my Case will run you out of there on high cool,

i have never had good luck with the "add-a-can" systems they sell at autoparts stores. seems like a cheap gimmick to me. they use them at work, and no one's a/c works. youd be much better off letting someone who has a real a/c machine drain and refill the system.

I had mine gone over by my Kubota dealer, but we have had surprisingly good results with the "add a can" on our Case. My brother is a mechanic and has all the equipment, but rarely use it anymore.

In farm country, it is often next to impossible to get something worked on at certain times of the year and had a tractor in the shop for months one time as the people who make a living with their equipment naturally have first priority. Some dealers are better than others, but it is often a matter of doing it yourself or not getting it done.

Doing it yourself doesn't preclude someone from having proper tools & equipment to get the job done correctly. Servicing A/C without even a cheap set of manifold gauges is about as effective as troubleshooting hydraulic problems without a gauge or electrical stuff without a VOM.

All I can say is that lots of people including some mechanic do it and it works.

Well it clearly isn't working for BizDoc. And without knowing what his system pressures and vent temperature are, there is just about zero worthwhile help here for him beyond making sure the heater isn't circulating hot coolant.

Agreed and when the simple things don't work mine goes to a technician. I was once operating a tractor with which I was not familiar. It was a cabbed model and I just could not get it to cool properly. Out of frustration, I called the person who usually ran it on my cell phone and they told me they had gotten cool working in it the night before and turned the heater on. Sure enough, I looked up and the heater and AC were both on; didn't know it was possible until then; "problem" fixed.

I get cold air out the front vents on my B3030 when the AC is running and the heat is off. If i leave the vents pointed on the windshield, I sometimes get condensation on the outside of the glass.
