The Toplink is 18-26.5" version

The sidelink is gearmore # L2.5x4-15KB-RH which means 2.5 dia 4" stroke 15" closed length.

My real name is Steve Dewey, Boat is Duet, 38 foot freedom (sailboat) hailing from Padanaram- white hull, navy blue canvas. I'll be the younger guy (33) on the boat

stimpee factory remotes are ~$500 each IIRC. You can find 2007 list here

Anybody got pics of the "factory" remotes on the B3030? Both the controls, as well as the quick connect side?

Sorry for the O/T.

Steve

I'll try to remember to take a pic of the controls. I think someone else should post the QC side, as I have the backhoe connections and hose to the FEL there, so it'll be a bit confusing.

Does the gearmore not have check valves steve?

My toplink looks to be around 26.5 or so to the eye centers fully extended. Whats the standard way to measure, anyone know? To the pin centers, or "outside" to outside?

Sounds like 4 it is. I guess if for some reason you need more, you just switch sidelinks? I've found taking the 3pt on and off to be surprisingly quick and painless.

yes - there are no check valves on the gearmore. I believe the standard is center to center.

If you put pioneer quick couplings on the gearmore, and pull the hoses, will that effectively act as a check valve I wonder?

I just put on my Pats easy change this afternoon. Seems like a nice system, but maxed out my toplink could just barely pick up my aerator. I'll have to experiment with the box etc and see how it looks.

Yeah It would act as a cheap check valve. My plan is to only put the sidelink on if I'm doing grading work, otherwise I don't need it - I never use the mechanical one... The toplink gets lots of use, makes using the quick hitch that much easier.

Pick up a new longer manual toplink from TSC or Agri-supply to try out. Then you'll know which hydraulic one you want. I wouldn't want to go longer than the one I have, but I've got the opposite problem that you do - I modified my quick hitch to place the hook further aft for easier mating with the attachments.

I got some hoses made up for the sidelink yesterday - It's up and running. Seems to have good range of motion. I also drilled a new hole in the quick hitch for the toplink, solving my clearance problems. I'm still waiting on the repair parts for the toplink (which is leaking a steady stream of oil, not just drips:mad: ). I'll take some pictures soon.

Gotcha.

What killed the toplink? I didn't realize they were killable, but I'm sure I would have once I killed mine - good to know in advance.

Kinda of a double whammy - 1st was intimate contact with the quick hitch when the rod side was mounted towards the tractor (check valve down), second was intimate contact with the toolbox when the rod side was mounted towards the quick hitch (check valve up).
