Qestion:
Anyone else have a b3030 with a bh75 that makes a chirping noise when really working the hoe? The sound is coming from or at least sounds like its coming from the valve assembly below the hoe. Fluid is full and has been service with super udt, which brings me to a dumb question, check the hydro fluid with the unit running or off ? I dont really trust the guys around here to work on it.
thanks guys

It sounds like the pressure relief valve.

Check fluid level with engine off.

Yeah, the pressure relief valve is popping. Get a 3000 to 5000 psi gage plugged into a test port and check it while you are working on something. To just test the relief, plumb the gage at the end of a cylinder hose and activate that circuit. The relief will pop and show the setting. Hold it for 5 seconds or so. Typical system pressure is in the 2500 psi area. It's very very common for a hoe to come with a relief valve set at 2000 psi or even less from the factory. It should be adjustable by either adding shims or screwing down the spring.

so do i have a problem or is this normal operation? I first noticed it when the unit was new and shrugged it off as normal, now that im getting close to out of warranty im wondering if attention is needed.
