Another modification I did on my B3030. As I was wiring my switches for my lights I added a 30 amps power outlet on the back of the tractor. I've mounted a switch on the dash and I put to use an unused indicator in the dash. Ok, I know it's not an indicator made for that purpose, but it was there unplugged and unused.

First, I did it to plug my future sprayer but I'll certainly use it for other purposes.

3 photos:
  • #1 is the unused indicator I plugged to my switch
  • #2 the oulet socket (you see the white square thing at eleven o'clock, that's it) it's rated 50 amps and the connection is quite stiff so once plugged there's no chance at all it can unplugged by itself.
  • #3 the switch; the black one beside the hazards one.
Enjoy

In that first pic it looks like somebodys been waxing!!! :D

But which indicator did you use, I see the high beam and the flasher thing lit up.

I love those 50a connectors. Be ware if you make other attachments and you see the connectors in Red. The red and gray will not work together, at least the ones I get at Grainger do not. I use them for ATV winches.

I used the second one for the power outlet (the flasher light thing). The first one is used too but for my lights mounted on the ROPS. You're right about the connectors, it takes only gray ones.

I decided to limit myself to 30 amps for that outlet. The circuit is protected by a 30 amps fuse and the wire gauge is 10.

Question about your dash mounted switch ( the waterproof one??)

Is the underside of the "dash" pretty "open"?..meaning lots of open space?

Im doing the ALT upgrade this spring and while I have that thing off...Id like to drill and install a couple of switches for later use..???...prewire them and lead the wires out and just cap them off at first. Later on when I find a usage..Id have them already installed.

If I do this..Id have to have the waterproof switches on hand...meaning Id have to order and recieve them..prior to tearing into the dash.

I was concerned about that too (didn't want to drill a hole in the dash to realise afterward that there's not enough room to put a switch). Yes there's room. When you look at the right side of the dash (up and left of the hazards switch) there are 2 rectangles not quite the same as the rest of the dash, there's a lot of open space beneath that area. If you drill there you can't go wrong.

BTW, all my switches are waterproof, you have no other choice.
