Greetings,

Just received my B3030 about a week ago and am thus far extremely pleased with it. However, I have yet to remove the 60" MMM. Although the manual is detailed (perhaps a little too detailed), I still prefer the direction of experienced users as opposed to an owners manual. Can anyone please provide instruction from personal experience as to the easiest method to mount and dismount the MMM. BTW, I have the 403 loader.

Thanks in advance.

On the B2910 with 402 loader. Best way to remove MMM is to disconnect linkage and PTO shaft. Then raise front wheels off ground high enough to clear gage wheels with FEL bucket. Slide MMM out from under tractor.
This method works best with a hard surface.

The only thing I can add to that is do as decribed on a hard level surface. I have the 72" deck and it rolled away pretty good on just the slightest incline once I freed it from the main front attachment area.

I have a bx-23 but also use the FEL to lift front up as suggested. I also bought 4 of the 3 wheeled dollies that are about 8" across and put under guage wheels before disconnecting on concrete driveway. Makes lining up to rehook very easy.

This is the method I use also, just remember to position your gauge and AS wheels before you start disconnecting stuff (with deck off the ground). "Installation is the reverse of removal".
One other thing to be aware of/watch out for is when you lift the front, the rear tires will roll forward a bit (and can pinch the deck); when you lower it, they will roll back a bit. Finding the front-to-back "sweet spot" where the MMM oughta be will take a little practice. Also since you'll have the left AS wheel turned sideways, it won't make things any easier for you. Try not to drag it if you can help it; chances are that plastic is softer than whatever you're dragging it across. And there's the story behind why mine has a little flat spot. ;)

I choke wheels on the deck
- put wedges behind front wheels
- disconnect the deck and the shaft (I actually take half of the shaft off, it is easier that way)
- lift 3pt to get the linkage out of the way
- back up over the deck in Low

Installation is same thing backwards, all done on concrete.

First time I was hesitant to do it, but thats what the manual says and it works like a charm. In cutting season I do it once a week or so.

Are you talking about the 72" MMM? We're talking about the 60" MMM, I didn't think you could (or want to) drive over it.

Yes, 60" MMM - for my Kubota B1750, thats whatg the manual calls for.

Ahh... OK. You can't drive over the RCK60-30B for the B3030.

Chessie, you have about the same setup as I. I haven't yet removed either the mmm or the FEL. About how long does it take to remove for each? I would assume just a few minutes once you know how. Also, anything special about reattaching the FEL re the hydraulic lines - i'm new to owning a FEL.

Here is a step-by-step procedure w/pics on how to remove the FEL. Make sure you don't skip any steps (e.g., work joystick to equalize pressure).

Loader Removal Procedures

The only other thing I'll add that's missing here is that when you curl the FEL away from the tractor, keep an eye on your hyd hoses... they may start to pull taut, in which case you'll want to ease the tractor up to keep slack in them.
