I am thinking of trading my B2910 for the 3030 with the cab. Looking to get the FEL and 60" MMM that I now have. Does anybody have any comments or suggestions on things I need to consider with the cab. I plan to get the loaded turf tires that I have on the 2910. 80% of my use is mowing 4 acres and the rest is moving NE snow. Thanks for any help you can give.

Depending on the length of time spent cleaning the driveway you might want to look at the extra window defrosters for the back windows.

The B3030HSDCC model as opposed to the HSDC has the rear defogger, rear wiper, and 60 amp alternator(versus 40 amp on HSDC)for just under $400. I tested them the first time at +10F and they started well and I had no fogging of the windows. Since I got the front snowblower,I opted not to get the more expensive model. Rear snowblower might be different. Climate control is great-get one.

I have the B3030HSDCC cold weather version with the rear wiper, washer and defroster etc. I was going to order the rear wiper anyway and the dealer said there was less than $100 difference in price between the regular B3030HSDC and the HSDCC model if you add the same options so I went for it. I also ordered the factory two rear work lights, two rear factory hydraulic remotes and the factory CD/Weather radio. I basically ordered every option you could get on the cab as I figured why not as this is something I will probably own for 20 years and I did not want to regret not getting something later. I also have the factory quick hitch and factory front blade. Connecticut does not get enough snow to warrant the cost of the front snow blower although I could always add one as it uses the same quick hitch as the front blade. I would just need the mid PTO kit and the blower itself. The blade worked fantastic this past winter.

The only thing I think I might have done different is turf tires. I got mine with the R4 industrial tires, the rears are loaded with rim guard and they do tear up the grass. I think loaded turfs (like you are planning) is the better way to go if you spend a lot of time on the lawn.

You may want to think about getting a third party skid steer type q/a mounted to the FEL arms. I had my dealer install the ATI Tach-All and it is amazing how quick you can switch between a bucket and pallet forks. I have the Bradco compact tractor pallet forks and they are the perfect size for the B3030.

It is a fantastic tractor. I would buy one again.

I have the HSDC, 403 fel, stereo, loaded turfs (rears w/ rim guard) and 2782 front snowblower with hydraulic chute control. Its a great machine & a joy to operate. Kubota design engineers really hit a home run on the B3030.

The option I'd consider instead of the blower in Conn would be a broom if you have a paved driveway. They are great for spring clean-up as well! To have a blower on the front the need of a loader or blade is nill!!! Blow it once or push it all winter. The ATi hook up is the way to go.

Howdy,
Go with the B3030HSDCC. If snow removal is in your forecast the rear wiper and defrost will come in handy when you are out playing in a major snow storm with blowing snow.

Loaded tires....that is up to you. Mine (both the turf and R4 are not loaded). I have not had any problems moving snow with the FEL up a 15% grade even in 2WD. When it is icy I put it in 4WD and have never had difficulties with moving lots of snow. No Chains.

Mowers. Depends on what you are used to using. I was raised with MMM and have used rear mount mowers/ Brushcutters as well. The rear mounts are good for land clearing and do Ok for mowing. I personall prefer the MMM. I am using a 72" deck MMM with mine. Rear mount mowers are good for getting under trees and decks. 60" is a good size if you have a lot of yard irregularities. You could go biger if your yard is not a mine field.

Radio is nice... I did not get that option. I like listening to the tractor to make sure I am not overworking something. I traded the radio for a set of Turfs with rims and an extra $100.00 You could always add the radio later if you want.

Future expansion... perhaps a valve for rear outlet in case you want to get alog splitter or something at a later date.

Hope this helps you out
Jeff

How much work changing from the FEL to the front blower? How high does the front blower lift (ground clearance)? How deep snow does the front blower handle? I am considering trading my B7500 for a B3030HSDC and am trying to decide between the front blower and a rear blower. With a rear blower I would still have the use of the FEL. With a front blower I would put on a back blade.
It takes about a half hour to remove the fel and mount up the front blower. I think the ground clearence is 8" in the raised position. We need a serious blizzard to run the 2782 through the paces, perhaps we will get one this winter. Judging by the performance of my previous kubota front snowblower ( B2650) im sure the 2782 will handle 5-6' drifts no problem and blow the snow back 50'. You can keep the fel on if you go rear snowblower, myself, i wouldn't own a rear blower.

As i said, i really need a serious storm to test the 2782. I ran my previous machine B7500,curtis cab,2650 front blower, into drifts that were higher than the top of the hood. Sometimes i would get all the way into the drift blowing the under snow until the cab windsheild hit the top of the drift, then the whole deal would fall and i would back up, make a clean up pass and proceed into the next drift. Blowing snow is one of my favorite tractor services.
