Was trying to hook up my rough cut and tried to turn the pto a bit to align. Forgot I had to be in seat. Safety switch worked as advertised and shot tractor off. Now I cant get tractor restarted. Battery not dead. Can稚 get it to turnover or even engage. Anybody have any ideas?

To start my machine the pto must be disengaged... did you forget to turn it off by chance?

Make sure neither length of seat belt is under the seat, lifting seat just enough to open electrical circuit.

Make sure the HST isn't in gear, check to make sure your seat switch is OK and nothing stuck under the seat. Make sure the PTO selector is fully disengaged.

I do this all the time on my tractor and I just reset the PTO lever and put it in N with brake on and restart and resume.

As D85 says, make sure the pto selector is fully disengaged. Rock it back and forth and make sure it is seated in the off position.

Thx for the replies. Pto is off. Haven稚 rocked it or looked for seatbelt etc under seat.

1. Check the wiring from safety switch under seat to its connector to the wiring harness. Unplug it and plug it back in a couple of times. I have seen where the wiring has been severed by the seat.

2. Disconnect the battery. Wait a few minutes and reconnect.

Hope this helps.

Make sure HST foot pedal is at "neutral" position.

Check the ground from the battery. Had mine work fine when shutdown, then fail to start the next day. Burned lots of time finding weird low voltages all over with a multi-meter. Then loosening & tightening the bolt holding the ground to the frame fixed it. No corrosion or loose connections to be seen.

Go pedal not being quite in the middle is another big one. Sounds like you are aware of the seat safety. Might hit that with a multi-meter to make sure its switching as designed.
