B2920 Two oil fill ports?

Just realized there are two engine oil fill spots on my B2920 why?:confused2:

The engines have an upper and lower oil pan just be sure fill both reservoirs to the full line- It can be done throught the oil fill on the valve cover oil fill port- just wait an hour to be sure the new oil has drained through to the upper and lower sumps. :thumbsup:

When I asked my dealer salesman about the two oil fill ports on the BX2660, he didn't really know. But he suggested that it could be that the engine is used in different applications, thus there are different access ports on the valve cover.
