B2920 nut falls off the brand new tractor

A good indication that you should get out your wrenches and check every nut and bolt that you can see. DONT forget to check all the wheel bolts and recheck them again at 50 hours or less to make sure they are still tight. FEL bolts where the frame attaches to the tractor is traditionally a place needing frequent checking also as they can do some damage if they get loose as in break off inside the tractor housing making it very hard to remove. Same with wheel nuts, loose wheel nuts can ruin the rims very fast.

Will strongly second that excellent advice, and this goes for all Kubota products/attachments. Have had many Kubota nuts fall off. Apparently, Kubota can't be bothered to use thread sealant/thread locker.

I FOUND IT! I looked high and low but nothing, then I decided to inspect anything the dealer had wrenched on and bingo. The backhoe comes with a swivel seat base, the dealer has to remove the padded seat from the standard base and install it to the backhoe swivel base as part of the backhoe install, this was one of 4 nuts holding the padded seat to the base, they must have missed tightening this one the other three were fine.

Lots of good tips shared thanks everyone duly noted.

Glad you found it, that can be scary.

It is a good idea to check any new machine, but all the hardware was well tightened upon delivery when I bought both new Kubotas. Being that basically all the small tractors on the market come in to a dealer knocked down for shipping, it's isn't just a Kubota thing... final assembly depends on the guy turning wrenches at the dealership to do a good job. Best I know, Kubota dealers pay market wages and try to hire qualified mechanics just like any other dealer, and I think Kubota uses the same or better quality hardware, so your odds of having something get loose don't relate to the color of the machine.

At four hours my new L3700 shed a tie rod end nut. There was obviously no cotter pin installed when assembled. I spotted the nut in the grass while mowing. To err is human....check your nuts on a new tractor, especially wheels, tie rod ends and control linkages. I also checked torque on the FEL frame at about 20 hours.
And as an added note, the harder they are to see and get a wrench on, the more they need to be checked. I found 2 loose bolts on the FEL subframe that were behind the fuel tank and only accessible with a open end wrench and almost impossible to reach. They were very loose but the rest were tight, except for 1 or 2 lug bolts on the rear wheels.

I had a similar issue with the left fender grab handle nut. After 8 hours I noticed the handle vibrating. Nut was gone off one of the studs. New nut and some loctite and the handle is still stationary at 78 hours.

It does look like a nut for a panel, handle or other through bolted item.

I haven't had any issues with loose bolts or nuts (that I'm aware of) with 2 new Kubotas, but have found some of the dealer installed items that I thought could have been better located, tucked away, etc., so I've made those minor modifications, but I don't expect the dealer tech to have time to get things set up exactly the way I may want them. Plus, sometimes it takes me a couple weeks of usage to determine that something needs to be repositioned.

Its all good, very minor issue a nut falling off a seat. Now the rest of the story, so just prior to this falling off I was bashing some brush with my FEL showing off...then a nut falls off...I was like  what'd I break?
