Anyone go through the purchase decision process of the B2320, 2620, or 2920? I'm thinking if I get a new one, I may go for the 2920 since it's more powerful but only a little larger in size (by just a little bit according to the specs on kubota).

Would be a B2920, R4 tires, hydro-4wd, fel, box blade and possibly mmm later.

Anyone have any problems with the 2920?

Suggestions on the differences or experiences?

I was all set on a 2920 until I purchased a B3200 TLB and I'm glad I did. For a little bit more I got (IMHO) a lot more tractor.. and love the B3200.

If the B3200 hadn't been introduced I would have purchased the 2920.

I went through the same process when I bought my 2620. I liked the fact that the 2620 was bigger and was able to work with larger implements than the 2320. I could not understand the appeal of the 2920. The 26 will handle all the same implements as the 29, FEL is the same, and I think the only time the 3 hp would be an advantage is perhaps if you planned on applications like running a stationary implement, such as a chipper or generator. I know Kubota rates the 26 and the 29 as having the same implement capacity. I have all the power I need to run a 54" rotary cutter.

I did consider the 3200 (my dealer needed another $2000 compared to the 2620), but I did not really need the extra "oomph" for my uses.

I looked at the BX24/25 then the 2320 and bumped up to the 2620 for about $1500 difference if I remember.

I tried out the 2620 and 2920, both have the same ratings and FEL and BH, including hydraulic ratings. I didn't see a difference and doubt I'd ever see a 3HP difference on the PTO for this size tractor, not to mention I couldn't justify the price difference.

I lose traction before I run out of HP, unless I try to pick up too much with the FEL.

I was gonna go for B2620 HST until I test drove the B2330 (Gear Drive).

The salesman I work with says he has one and he said it can pull more than the B2920. It was stronger (for pulling which is my main two needs) and was cheaper to boot.

I'm not trying to push the gear, but it depends on your needs.

Take one for a spin.

I agree with the others. Now that the B3200 is available the B2920 makes little sense. You're not using 5' implements with the B2920 any better than you would with the B2620, and the B3200 is sized for these. The B2620 is the sweet spot.

The only down side is the MMM has had some issues with height accuracy and occasionally ratcheting down during use. That has been well covered on these forums so you can read about it.

I have to agree with chris. I had a 2920 dropped off and had it picked up for a 3200. I do need to use a 5ft land pride cutter as well as other implements. You also get a lot more loader. if you can get the 3200 get it if you dont need that much tractor get a 2620.

I had a BX 24 and ended up with a 2920. It is a great machine, I find the extra HP useful because for just about anything I do, I can run the machine at low RPM's and still get plenty of power out of the machine. The Bx20 series is (for my applications) the perfect height to climb on and off, yet still has enough ground clearance for the typical homeowner. I live in upstate NY and get alot of snow. I opted for the 63" front mount blower. The extra HP should be useful there, otherwise the 2620 will be just fine. For me it came down to availability. The 2920 was in stock the 2620 would have to be ordered and would be affected by one of the price increases last year. If the 3200 were available, I would have gone with that machine! Good luck!

The problem with the 3200 is that it is quite a bit larger than the 2320 and still larger than the 2620/2920.

Yes, the 2920 is "larger" than the 2320/2620, but the wheelbase is the same and the difference is in the larger tires.

Weight is the same on the 2620/2920 and everything else is except for the engine and HP.

Anyone find a big difference in using the 2320 compared to a 2620 or 2920? Is there really THAT much difference? Maybe I should just go with the 2320? I do like the idea of the wider tires on the 2620/2920, the heavier duty fel and added ground clearance.

For me, I would not want to try using a MMM with any machine larger than the B2x20 series. I'm not even sure if the mowing deck is suspended on the B3200. It looks like a ground contact unit to me but I'm not positive.
