Kubota B series
Had a great summer with my new B2920. Thanks again for all the help leading up to my decision to purchase a new tractor.

Just about ready to do 50 hour service a couple of quick questions

1. I am going to use Kubota 10w30 oil but in the future can I use any high quality 10w30? what about synthetic?

2. How do you change HST filter without changing fluid?

3. Any tips for winter operation? DO i need a diesel additive?

Thanks again

1.Synthectic oil is fine.

2.Use a Shop vac on your fill port.

3. I use Power Service.

If you do only what the books recommends ya don't lose much fluid. However, if you do both fluid filters, as I did, be prepared to replace at least a quart or more of UDT depending on how quick you are. Do a search, as there is plenty of info on the 50 hr cycle that will answer most questions.

1. I use Rottella T6 5w40
2. Complete replacement of UDT and filters was done @ 50 hrs.
3. Using power service.

I just followed the Kubota recommendations at 50 hours.....also use Power Service winter and summer and Kubota 10W-30 for the oil in the winter and summer it works okay in this climate...as recommended in the OE Manual.

A shop vac on the filler and you won't lose a drop except whats in the filter.

I always use an additive. You only have to experience fuel gelling once to convince you that you don't EVER want that to happen again. It took me 3 days to get things thawed out enough to get the tractor running again.

Agree with rbarker, I always use fuel additive year round and have not had any problems so far. Also, by switching to synthetic your engine will sound much quieter in cold weather.

The shop vac is at the hyd fill hole.
I use Kubota oil and filters from dealer and change oil, oil filter and hyd filter only at the 50 hours just like the current owners manual says.
