JAMES : welcome to the forum! the price sounds ok for th 2910 with mmm and fel, alarge part of the cost is a lot of times determined by what part of the country u are in. what i meanis that same outfit in one area might be less$$ but in another area more $$$ but u seem to be in the right range. when u become more comfortable on the forum it is a good idea to fill in your profile a bit. helps to understand your uses and needs. good luck

In the past the L series MMM was not easy on, easy off like the B series MMM. You might want to check that if it's important to you. Yanking a 400 lb MMM around to properly position it for an older L series isn't fun.

The difference in price between the 7800 & 2910 is about $ 1500. Not much, really when you consider the physical differences. These, by the way, are the same machine, same frame, same engine, etc. The differences are a plushier seat on 2910, expandable links on the Cat.1 hitch, tilt & telescoping steering wheel on the 2910,cruise control(2910)as well as a few other small luxo items not on the 7800. Basically, the 7800 is a bare bones model of the "premium series" B2910. Some of these items seem moot, but when you're on that machine for hours on end, they really mean a lot.

I have the 7800 with the folding ROPS, Mid PTO and cruise. The 2910 has the extendable links on the 3 PH, but with this size of a tractor it's no big deal since the implements are easily pushed around. If I had heavier implements the liinks on the 2910 might prove more useful, but I haven't had any problems with the 7800. At my dealer the difference in cost was more than $1500 which made my decision easy. I can't remember how different the seats were, but the 7800's is OK by me. Can't go wrong either way.

LOL, Frank

LOL!

Sounds like you need to give my 56 year old body a talking to! It doesn't seem to like pushing those implements around as much as yours does... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Recently I just happend to be thinking of how nice those extendable links are...and I still do lug those hundred pound bags of cracked corn around on my shoulder sometimes, and managed to lift and slide some 16' 6x6s into holes by myself for a tractor shed I am building...so I'm not a total wimp /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As an aside, I could do without that cruse control on my b2910. I am not THAT wide at the bottom, but still manage to push it over with my leg when I don't want to, and that causes the reverse pedal to bind when you try to go backwards.

If I bought a 7800, I would price the parts to upgrade it to the extendable links like the 2910 has. For me those links and the suspension seat are the two best features of the 2910.

I agree with Henro, except mine is a 42 year old body with a back ailment. I have a 560 lb. boxblade and 530 lb. rear blade, neither pushes around too easily unless they're sitting on their dollies.

My back really appreciates the extendable lower links and the suspension seat.
