/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Nice job.

I think it looks great. And I think you did good by attaching it to the loader as opposed to just the ROPS.

Kind of looks like a spoiler. Should help to keep that rear end down. Probably can get rid of the foam in your tires. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks pretty effective.

I'm wondering though... why didn't you call this thread the "B2910 Head & Hood Guard Finished".

I like the hood guard as much as I do the head guard. Or was the hood guard covered in past posts that I missed?

Looks like your ready for urban warfare. What have you got planned for that? I am going to show that pic to my trees to keep them in line.

Kelvin,

I had posted something about the hood guard here in this forum, but the thread subject did not say headguard...

So I thought putting "headguard finished" as post under hood guard did not quite make it...so I started a new thread. Both threads point at the thread in the "build it yourself" forum...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Henro,
I saw the other posts a few minutes after I submitted my reply (almost went back and delete my response to you, but decided not to).

This site is too busy these days for me to keep up with on a regular basis, so I try to catch up using the "last 48 hours" or the "last 7 days" whenever I have 8 to 10 hours to spare, and sometimes I miss some threads if I'm forced to look at the accumulated threads in less than 8 hours!

Does look great, but I am more interested in the bumper that you have on the front of your machine. Is it home engineered or is that a part that you can purchase?

thanks in advance

Thanks again to everyone for the compliments on the project.

DannyD,

The "grill guard" came standard with the loader. I assume it could be purchased seperately...I'm thinking of using some of the extra expanded metal I have and making a guard to put over that guard.

I don't think I need it, but I need welding projects! Making something is so much more useful than practicing for the sake of it... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Great job on your project. Thanks for sharing it. As for the grill guard ....lose the welder and just u-bolt the expanded metal to the front bumper....as the Texans have done. If anyone knows brush, they do. After that , you can do the skid plate. First , get a part time job at the armored car company...to learn the ropes....or go down and visit those Texans for a day. To pay for the ever increasing cost of metal, you can use that rig now to mow for the pipeline or electric right-of-way....looks like something I've seen around here working by the electric lines. Did I mention those Texans?
