I call that Tractor Patrol, me and "the boys" (aka Rimfire and Buckshot) often patrol the property perimeter. The tractor often runs up a rabbit and they enjoy barking at it and chasing it breifly. Now that I have two tractors my wife often accompanies in formation.

Mike

I tried to post when you did the smaller 'bota but, somehow, the post vanished /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. In that post, I said the % of owners with MMM and Rear Finish Mowers would go down with tractor size and Rotary Cutters would go up.

Its really a no brainer since the larger tractors are not all that good for lawns- tight places and scuffing. Looks like you proved the point. Think the info is very important for those making a size choice. Thanks!/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Hugo:

I've heard there are some people "Down Under" that have to clear the Bulldust out of their driveways. Perhaps they could use some help.

OK the truth is that she knows I lost it long ago & she is sure that this need for tractor time must some kind of guy thing (her words not mine). I like the tractor patrol idea as a good reason to get out & see what the fence lines look like - can't afford the matching tractor option though or the "down under" trip.

Regarding that "guy thing" we all do. My wife told a friend of hers that my tractor purchase was "pretty good", considering the other mid-life crisis alternatives. The way she figures it, I could have been off cruising around the countryside in a new red convertible/w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif. At that distance and speed, for all she would know, I could have a "hooked up" with some bimbo/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif. At least with the tractor she can look outside and see where I am (or hear where I am). Also, the 2710 is not built for passengers of any *** or age/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

I checked your profile. A 2910 in Canada? /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Every time I stop at a dealer in Ontario they ask me what tractor I have they look at me like they never heard of it. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
Then I thought I check on your location with my trusty Yahoo maps. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif I got a reply (The city could not be found, but here is the province.) /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif I know I’ve been by this place but my mind has a complete loss on where it was. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif I checked a couple of your previous post and found where you live. I’ve never been there. A good friend of mine lives in Oxford region (we would call it a county).
Well I guess I missed welcoming you to TBN.
I also missed noticing that you are also the proud owner of a very new 2910. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif
Congrat’s on both. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
I have go out now and tour the back forty with my 2910. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Thanks for the welcome Ron. If you roll down the 401 going east, you pass by Woodstock, ON - it is located in Oxford County & that is likely the sign that you have seen. I was born there & lived there for my first 18 years until I went away to university & started working.

Now I live near Oxford Station (a hamlet of 65 people or so) & it is located in Oxford-on-Rideau township in Grenville County which is in eastern ON (stay on the 401 E for another 6 hours). The largest town nearby is Kemptville, and it is about halfway between Ottawa & Brockville. Funny how names get used & reused.
