I see the logic. I don't see what you have lost, as a tractor, and you have gained a unit made to do backhoe work. I guess the one problem some applications may have is that the loader is not made to be removed from Kubota's TLB's, and you lose a small amount of PTO hp compared to the tractor models. The other problem for some is the removing of the 3PT arms to put on the backhoe. I think this is more of a problem if you are a Freedom hitch user.
The L48 is not a BRUTUS, but sure looks like a tempting package.
