b2650 electrical problems. Tractor dead. Fuse?

Second Kubota...no problems except for headlights which only seem to work when they want to. Not surprised the way they sit in the hood and are subjected to such high force when you drop the heavy hood in place.

Up until tonight. Tilling, full tank, good oil, soft soil.... then boom... dead. Nothing on the dash to tell me what might be wrong. Dash dead. Only light is for the preheater for the glow plug. Couldn't find the fuse panel. Manual is no help... completely innaccurate. Found one small fuse box to the right of the battery in front. One bad fuse in it, 5amp, no idea what it does. The labels on the panel don't match the manual's.

So, is this the only location for fuses? Where else might I check, and am I on the right track? The weather JUST got dry enough for us to till... (sigh) ...ain't that how it always goes?

You can look up the parts on Kubota (don't know the link) or Messicks.

And buy a Work Shop Manual.

Go to the kubota web site, parts,illustrated parts, accept/agree, then put in your model number bx24. Go to the Electrical section. I will try to link to the electrical drawing and parts list. it looks to be on the right side under the dash.

I had the exact thing happen to my B2650 tonight. Was clearing some brush and it just quit. What I know so far is that the 5A Panel OPC fuse blew. I replaced it, and the tractor started right up. Hydraulics work fine. As soon as I depressed the treadle it died again. I put in neutral, replaced the fuse, depressed the pedal and it immediately died again with the same result a blown Panel OPC fuse.

Did you get yours fixed? Any one else see this before? Thanks!

I had 2 of these in the same week with a short in the neutral safety switch on the HST pedal. I replaced the switches in both of them and the problem went away.

After doing some troubleshooting and tying the plunger down on the HST pedal switch, I was able to get the tractor mobile again. I'll be replacing the switch this weekend. Hopefully that'l fix it for me as well. Thanks.

Well this has me interested, are the dealers claiming a recall on the switch? As my warranty will soon be up, seems like that should be covered if it's a common thing. Also could be a real pita! Leaving you stranded...

No there is no recall, these are the only 2 I've run across, they just happened to be in the same week.

Well, I had this same issue (identical) on my B3300SU. Blew 3 fuses in a week and it's been fine for the last 3-4 weeks. Don't know what the cause was but it was the 5 amp that blew.

Just an update: Replaced the switch and the tractor is operational again.
