I have the b2630 and can not help to wonder what the additional 4hp on the b3030 is like. I use my machine for fel work and backhoe work. Does the additional hp help the machine lift and dig better? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Do you ever feel that the tractor is underpowered? Does it lug down? If not then you don't need more power. I have a B3030 and have always thought it had power to spare. I am sure I could do anything I want to with a few HP less.

If I were to push into a pile in medium range. It may slightly bog down. Put her in low range and there is no bog at all. If anything you may get a little wheel spin.

Your power comments sound just like the statements that I have heard from B27-2910 owners. The extra 23 Cu. In and 3.5 PTO HP. Probably will not be noticed until a attachment like a 60" Rotary Cutter was hooked up to PTO. Even then you would need to have both models tractor on site to see difference. The $1500 savings between the 2 models may be well worth it. Unless a owner needed the extra PTO HP.

Thanks alot for the input. So far the 2630 has exceeded my expectations. I feel that I have made the perfect choice. But I could not help but wonder about the additional ponys in the b3030. Thanks again!!

I didnt look at the additional ponys that much..I looked at the greater torque. I went ahead and sprang for the B3030 because it was only setting me back another $1000..and figures IF...IF I ever needed it..I had it...but admit I probably never will need it.

Except for road tavel I seldom run the engine over 2000 RPM..and its max power is at 2400 RPM...

I'm with ronjhall on this, you would be most apt to notice the power difference at the pto, i have put a whopping 7 hours on my 3030 mostly fertilizing & listening to C S N & Y on the cd, boy it gets warm in that cab, i had to turn on the ac. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
