Yes, I'm almost afraid to look around and see what might have gotten bent when the rock flew apart. A rock chip flew up and hit my leg slightly, but I also heard a bit of commotion down lower as I was "sharpening". :ashamed:

Ouch - close one! Does the bush hog have those chain guardy things up front? What side did the chips come out from - must have been the front in order to hit your leg - that could have been somewhat serious! ?? Have you had a chance to see if there was any other damage to the deck? That must have been a good sized one to be able to send pieces flying like that.Hope it is OK?

Yep, came out the front, no chain thingy on mine. I don't think anything got bent other than a couple of blade dings. I think when bushhogging you basically need to be prepared to hit "stuff". Otherwise you'd be using a finish mower.

I've always loved the look of the land and those mountains down there. So much softer looking than Maine. Nice tractor too.
