I'm considering upgrading my TC18 - shhhhhh don't tell my wife:rolleyes: I'm trying to minize my hit on depreciation by buying used...

Just wondering what is new on the BXX30 vs. the BXX10 machines besides the more modern looks and new loader (which seems to have similar specs). I'm not interested in the cab option (too many low branches...)

I like the idea of 26 - 30 HP in a less than 2,000# (base) machine with a 3 speed range tranny. Doesn't seem to exist in any other brand...

Yours is an ideal switch and anything less I'd recommend for you to keep your money in your pocket.

There are no major differences other then the sheet metal changes as far as I'm concerned with the older model to the newer. At least I should say that none that would really stick out other then from one tractor to a newer one.

I traded my B2910 with loader for a new B3030HSDC(factory cab model) with loader. The only reason I traded was for the new factory cab which is a real nice.

Other than the cab, I see no advantages of either model. By the way, the transaction was done at the store owned by ART above. Excellent dealer.

There are 2 major differences in the B2910 to the B3030/2630. The B2910 has a clutch for PTO and starting. The FEL is different and has a crossover bar to connect both sides of the frame.
There is more differences in the B2710. It does not have the premium features for the 3PH, Tilt steering wheel, better seat, and cruise control.

As Ron did, I would mention the clutch missing on the 30 series. That might be important if you run heavy PTO implements. I can start my old brush cutter with no load shock using my clutch. I can also easily "clean" post holes when using my digger without shock.

An improvement that seems to be important on the 3030 is the relocation of the cruise control lever. On my 2910 I get my leg against the cruise control lever and move it out of the off position which prohibits me from pedaling backwards with the HST.

I've not ran the 3030 for extended time but I hear a lot of complaints about the seat. I have no complaints about the suspension seat on my 2910, it fits me great.

I too believe that the luxury items available on the 2910 that are not on the 2710 are worth the difference. I bought my 2910 used and saved $6K under the new cost of a 3030. I have no regrets of doing that. I also value what others call unneccesary luxuries such as Position Control lift, extendable links, telescoping steering wheel, mechanical cruise control, etc. I love all my luxuries. Without them would be like buying a new car without AC, sure it's not a neccessity, but I wouldn't be without it. :)
