I have some questions about these two gear tractors. As I understand it they do not have live PTO which means that when you push in the clutch you lose PTO, is this correct? And also, they do not have any synchronized gears in the tranny (I have confirmed this for the B2320 with the dealer but not the L2800), correct? So, can you still run tractor-stationary PTO implemetents such as an auger? Do you put the tranny in neutral, engage the PTO and let out the clutch? Another questions is do you always have 3-pt lift capability (raise/lower) independent of whether the PTO is engaged or not? Thanks for any info!

You are correct about the L2800. When you push in the clutch you lose the PTO. It does not have a synchronized tranny. To run the PTO without moving, you just put it in neutral. The 3 point hitch is always independent of the PTO no matter what tractor it is.

Unless you have a Ford 8N........................The 3 point hitch works only with the pto running.

Unlike the L2800 the L3400 gear model does have a live PTO as well as few extra HP.
