well I was in the market for a used 2620...wound up with a 2920. Would have loved to move up to a 2601 but it would have been an extra ~5000 according to my quotes and I just couldnt justify that right now. 2650 sounds terrific but was definitely never a possibility for me due to budget :)

I'll bet that you will be a happy camper. The 2620 & 2920 are tried and proven. The 2920 is big enough and small enough to probably do everything that you ask of it. At least that is my experience on my 3 acres of tending to large gardens, moving snow, rock, gravel, dealing with large dead pine trees etc. for myself and my neighbors. It also makes a lot of grandkids, family kids and neighbor kids happy during Fall Hayrides.
Cheers,
Mike

I had a 2920, and it was great. A bit of a hot rod with all that power in such a small light tractor. So just remember that -- you will run out of traction long before power. But it was great for tooling around my property, since I could run just above idle and comfortably drive around in medium gear. My new L3200 needs RPMs up around 2000 to drive around in medium gear on the same land.

Congrats and enjoy.
