I have a Woods 6500 backhoe on my B7500 and the boom will always drop a bit when I am using the tractor for other than BH work. It will drop when it is parked with the engine off and I am working on a project and it will do the same with the engine running and the tractor working without the BH being used, ie: FEL work . It would probably drop when parked for the night but I always lower the boom and bucket to the ground then.
My question is; is this normal? It,the boom, (not the dipper or bucket they hold fast in position) drops about six inches. I have now started putting the boom transport lock in position when not using the BH.
BTW; I cannot see any hydraulic leaks.
