axle straps

Just checking to see if anyone uses axel straps to tow tractor. I know many that use them for cars and love them. I'm looking for a way to set up D rings or something that won't scratch the paint off the tractor. These seem like the perfect option. They are designed for towing vehicles that weigh much more than my tractor. The ones I'm looking at have gaurds to protect them from sharp areas. What setup do you have on the front of your tractor that keeps it from getting all beat up??

I use them when hauling cars or my tractor. The ones with the protective covering are nice. Still keep them off sharp edges.

I'm a firm believer in straps. They are lighter, easier to work with, cause less damage to painted surfaces and are easier to inspect for damage. Here's a picture of a good friends heavy wrecker being used at a dealership's lot to advertise a repoed car sale. Don't get me wrong, there are places I wouldn't use a strap but for what you want to use them for I would give them the thumbs up.

A good place to get attaching rings for straps is AW Direct. They mainly sell towing and recovery tools and equipment. Bolt down D-rings would probably be easiest to install as long as you use a good attaching point.

I'll get ready to order mine. They look much easier and don't appear to do any damage to paint which is nice.
