AXE man Drama?

The GoldRush Alaska is actually quite amusing considering the Hoffmans gold digging is being done in the Klondike CANADA .
The story line avoids mentioning Canada , and still has them touting the "american dream" they just don't tell you they are doing it in Canada.

Yeah thats interesting about the Canada thing they sure didn't let on about that.

If anybody makes it rich on that show I hope its the 17 year old kid and his nice old grampa. That kid is 10 times the manager and worker than all of the others put together and he is by far the best equipment operator. It shows how the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. my .02

Chopped and Car Doc, Tell how the 91 year old is going broke..they stated he made millions in the past. Even at $1000.00 a day operating? The kid is okay, but like stated it is all a SOAP reality show. At least he isn't twittering with a game boy in front of TV?

Jony, I didn't say he was going broke (the show does though every show) we are only hoping if anyone makes it big him and his nice old grampa are the ones its only talk. :)

(my .02 in my experience with people that make big money is they spend big money fwtw just making money doesn't mean there is any left)

CD, good morning, Yes, big money here comes and goes..We have 9 casinos within twenty miles...The don't operate where there are not customers??? I agree, those TWO men deserve to see the big nuggets, if there are going to be any shown..

/ AXE man Drama? #127
Well the big nugget mine was making $40,000 per day last season. It is strange they suddenly cant find any gold and they are broke.

/ AXE man Drama? #128
That Big Nugget mine had the nugget that looked like a walnut too.. The Hoffman bunch should be kaput after this season...back to the airport business?

You didn't watch the show "Harvest"? I think it was on the History channel? Same type of deal.

Im done with the show. The bronco and chainsaw stunt were too much. I like how the chainsaw had no gas cap or pull chord when they were "rigging" it up.

This is how the Asians log.....no screaming, no stunts, just calm music and pure zen with your compact machinery and nature. やまびこ Video The funny thing is,it seems pretty boring but it's really the same exact type of footage....the ONLY thing missing is a narrator inserting fake drama and frantic commercial cuts.

I was wondering the other day about taxes and the like. Can an American actually drive in Canada, mine gold, stick it in their pocket and drive back into the States? Obvioulsy they have to claim it as income in the US but doesn't Canada want or get a piece of the action as well??

From a mining perspective they are making little money that has to be split lots of ways. It seems they would be better off staying home. Of course they are likely being paid wages as actors but purely from a mining perspective it seems way too little pay off for the effort being put in.

I watched one episode of Axe Men a few days ago, no more! As far as I'm concerned people who throw tantrums like that need their heads knocked together, just to get their attention. That's why I don't care for "reality programs", they're to choreographed! ~~ grnspot

On Goldrush the old man, Jack, is a spitting image of Uncle Jesse on the Dukes of hazzard, the white hair, beard, the way he talks, the tone of his voice, the overalls, its almost like they made him up based on the character uncle Jesse. He even has the off the wall comments that dont make sense.
And when they found the final drive for the excavator just around the corner already disassembled from the machine and there are only 7 in North America!? Come on....

Watched the first episode of Bering Sea Gold tonight. More of the same old stuff One idiot actually took his 100ft barge out a couple miles from the bay with NO OUTDRIVE MOTORS!! He was using the bucket on a big excavator to literally paddle their way around. Of course, they got caught in some strong winds & current that were too much to paddle against and had to call for a tow to save the barge from getting bashed on the rocks. How stupid was that???

More usual drama with another deckhand on another barge arguing with the barge owner. Of course, he got his butt fired.

I'll probably watch another episode or two to see if I will stick with it.

Geez, on Axe Men tonight Shelby's helper just managed to cut the fool out of his arm with a chainsaw, and it wasn't even running!!! He fell with it and landed his arm on it. So now he's bleeding like a stuck pig and Shelby's racing at 2mph on that swamp buggy to get him to shore so he can be hauled to the hospital! Not funny that the man got hurt, but it almost seemed like the accident was planned.

I saw that to. and the pumping blood.....wonder if that was fake or what..Its gotten so rediculious.. thats why they have sleeve guards on the saws.It should have been gasses and ready before they set buggying..

That chainsaw cut was real you can believe it. I have seen similar cuts on my knee and thigh a couple times he was getting several stitches and a tetanus shot at a minimum.

I dont even know what that dimwit had the saw in the first place Shelby told him he wasn't letting him near it. :confused2:
