I have run hoses forward from my rear aux. hydraulics and operate a grapple with them and recently have come across a snowblower(5') that at one time was run off the pto. It has been modified to slide in the bucket and recieve the hydraulic fluid via hoses coming forward from a pto pump. My question is could I use my hoses from my rear aux. hydraulics to power the motor on the blower? It sure would make a neat connection but I am not sure I would have ample flow to operate the blower.

Most likely the answer to you question is no, you cannot run it. Most blowers use 15-30 gpm for proper operation. But for a definitive answer-we need to know what the GPM your tractor is, what the max pressure is, and rating of the plate on the motor. Also, the hoses for your grapple are probably to small to support the flow need to run the motor.

Oh, and Welcome to TBN:D

Thanks for the reply and I am thinking the hoses are too small also. The ones that came with the blower are larger and I would imagine the blower requires more flow than can be supplied by the aux. No biggie - I just have to run a couple more hoes forward from the pto hydraulic pump.My tractor is a Mahindra 3510. I was just trying to simplify hookup(that darn pto pump is heavy!)

The PTO pump is your best choice for sure...but all is not lost, use your rear remote to operate the chute rotation on the blower since you already have the hoses ran up there.
