I'm lookng for ramps to load my ATV on my pickup. Prices online are all over the place. Too many choices. Any suggestions? Width? Length? Set of 2 or 1 wide ramp? Arched?.......

I've looked at those sites. I have no problem finding ramps. Just looking for suggestions for what features to get.

We have a set of the fold in the middle aluminum ramps with bars spaced every 8" or so. They work fine for an ATV but not so good with a riding mower. The wheels go up the ramp ok but the mowing deck always hangs up on the lip of the trailer or truck.

I borrowed a set of the arched ramps and while you did have to set the width manualy the mower went right up and over the lip of the trailer with no issues. The arch seems to give the rear tires just enough height for the mower deck to clear.

Rob,
Be sure you read carefully about the price that's posted. Some ads list a price that seems unusually low, and quite often that price is per ramp, so double it if you want two ramps.

I had to find some ramps for my UTV (Polaris Ranger) recently in order to haul in my dump trailer and ran across this company. My concerns were strength, stowability, light weight and, of course, price. I was very pleased with their product, it was fairly priced, good quality welds and shipping was free.

They have a good selection of ramps for ATV as well as UTV units. I chose the arched design. The height of my trailer floor is about 35 inches and my ranger rides right up and in great.

Here's a link if you want to check them out.

Here is another vote for arched and at least 7 feet long. The short ones are super steep which is scary!

I started out with 2X12's and a home made lip on the end made out of angle iron. They worked ok but I, also, would hang up at the break over point when I went over into the pickup. When I bought a new mower a few years ago i also bought a new set of arched ramps and haven't looked back. I vote arched. When I load it on my flat bed truck I have to get creative due to the bed sitting higher than a normal pickup bed.

Thanks for the comments.

Now a new concern - I have an '08 Tundra. Aside from the whole recall thing I found comments online about that the Tundra tailgate was not made to support much weight. Who knows if it's true but I may take the tailgate off to load/unload the ATV. I won't be transporting it frequently.
