- JD2555 and a few Allis Chalmers and now one Kubota
I have a friend who is going to be selling a 756C New Holland backhoe. I could use a backhoe, and thought about buying it and adapting it to fit my JD2555. However, the 756C is made for a tractor of less than 30 hp, and my 2555 is pushing in excess of twice that.
Just how big a mistake will I be making if I buy it and modify the subframe to fit my tractor? I probably would just build brackets to hang the existing subframe to, rather than messing up the original subframe. I am not going to be digging deep, just mainly stumps and ditches.
