Snow Attaching Snow plow blade to 4 in 1 Bucket

I have an L35 and 1/2 mile long driveway. It will need an occasional plowing. I would prefer not to use a back blade and instead attach a snow plow to the bucket.

I'm thinking with some basic fabrication this plow can be bolted onto the bucket.

Has anyone done this?

Do you have a quick attach (skid steer or other) on the FEL? Sounds like a good excuse to get one, then add pallet forks as well. Adapter plates are available for $100-$200 that you could weld to the plow frame. It would make for a quicker & easier install.

I have the standard mount on the FEL. Would it work if I got a couple of sleeves welded onto the plow that would fit on the sides of the bucket. A couple of bolts through each of the sleeves / sides of the bucket... ???

Most setups I've seen where the plow is attached to the bucket involve bolting thru the bottom of the bucket towards the back. The exception being the "snow pushers" you see in a parking lot that slip over the lip of the bucket & are chained in place.

In your case (4 in 1), the back of the bottom bucket isn't as strong as a regular bucket due to the hinged action, thus your idea to attach to the sides would be a sturdier mount.

I still say upgrade to the quick attach if you can spare the cash - you can retrofit your 4 in 1 bucket with one of the aforementioned plates. Your plow is going to hang waaaay out in front (which is tough if you've got tight quarters or undulating terrain).
