Okay, so, I'm totally on board that this is dumb and should not be done. But if we think it through, what are the risks? I don't tow a gooseneck, so I don't actually know. Does the gooseneck use a different ball size, or not affix to the ball properly? Assuming the truck can take the tongue weight, how is this actually a problem?

I be more worried about someone taking pics while driving. I've never been on 55 that I have not been almost blown off the road by someone doing 85-100 while talking on the phone. With the traffic backed up behind you like that looks like a accident waiting to happen, as rough as 55 is in places and one of those legs catches the ground. WOW only in sippy.

At least it isn't loaded. My guess is that it's just being moved for some reason, maybe it was too good of a deal to pass up and someone's just taking it home and will install the proper hitch. Should have extended the hitch a bit to give the landing gear more clearance though.

I thought you were referring to the chains that look like I could pull them apart with my hands much less control that trailer if it came off.
