Assuming battery but thought I'd ask the experts

2014 DK45 cab tractor. Used it on Sunday with no issues. Tried to start it Monday, turned key to heat plugs and indicator came on then when ready turned to on and "click" everything is dead and only the oil indicator light is barely on. Probably been 4 years since last battery replacement. Tried to jump start it from truck and no luck, put a trickle charger on it all night and again lights on dash lit up but turned key and dead.

If battery what size and cranking amps am I looking for. The owners manual is somewhere in a building but I cannot find it if my life depended on it...lol

Load test the battery to be sure, probably need to charge it first. Yes it’s probably the battery.

It does sound like a failed battery, but as Dodge Man suggests a load test is in order.
For replacement, if the BCI size and CCA information is not printed on the battery you can measure what you have and reference a BCI table for something that will fit. Pay attention to the terminal orientation also.

If your truck engine was running and producing 13+ volts and whatever amperage your alternator is rated at........the tractor should have turned over........unless the ground connections at the battery/starter are corroded/loose.

Yes, check the battery, but check/clean your ground wires.

With jumper cables that’s pretty common. I’ve started a completely dead 4bt Cummins with my 2000 amp Noco pack. I’ve never actually tried a 6bt Cummins with that pack but I’ve started a completely dead 6bt Cummins with the 4200 amp Noco.
