Arrived! 2210 Backhoe

That's pretty much BS, no manufacturer can void the warranty for any aftermarket part that is added unless it is proven that the item caused the damage. Same as a super charger on a new truck I had. The dealer said it would blow the warrnaty. He changed his mind when I showed him the legal argument behind it. The Whipple Supercharger site has all the details on it.

What happens to the Woods seat when you need the tractors seat? Does it just flip back over and it just hangs around? Or does it get removed.

Looks like a strange set up if it stays with the tractors.

You should check with Woods for your specific machine. Seems they've come up with different setups for the different brands.

For example, on the Case/New Holland sub cuts, we get a swivel bracket to install between the factory seat and the slide track, to turn the factory seat around for backhoe use. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

We just received our first Woods 6000 Backhoe for the Case Ih Sub-compacts! We are going to mount it on Saturday. It looks awesome on the ground, can't wait to see it on the tractor.

I just looked at the Woods install for the BH6000 and the Kubota gets the swivel seat too. I think I might do the install myself and not have the dealer do ti. I'm no expert, but it looks like if you take you time you can accomplish it without killing yourself or the tractor.

Yea, I'd love to have one too. My neighbor was going to get one for his 2210, but they were'nt available soon enough. He ended up buying a mini excavator instead. Between that and another neighbor who has a BX22 I think I'm covered. That still doesn't mean I don't want one. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

The seat is removed from the tractor. The frame on the seat itself has two pins that slide through two holes in the seat support that is attached to the tractor. See attached photo.

So if you have to drive into the woods to your digging site you have two seats with you then right? Thats what I was trying to figure out. I know on the Kubota kit the seat will swivel.

Overall so far, how bad has the install been. I never knew they'd let the consumer install. I thought it was a dealer only install.

So far, the install has been very good. When I called dealers for pricing, I told them I would install the hoe and to price accordingly. Only one dealer said they would not allow customer install which they reflected in a higher price.

The installation instructions are easy to understand, all the hardware (sans two missing bolts), was individually packaged and labeled for quick identification, and all the components lined-up very well. Also, the instructions include actual pictures of the tractor showing progressive stages of installation, which proved very helpful. I called Woods regarding the two missing bolts and they agreed to ship them out no charge.

They sound like a class act for the consumer that is forsure. I think I'm going to try and do the install myself also. Might need some local TBN help from the guys around me however. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I stopped by the tractor dealer today and they had New Holland TZ out on the lot with the Woods Groundbreaker X mounted and ready to go. I took a few pictures that I posted over in the New Holland forums for anybody who wants to get a better look at the backhoe.

Another set-back in attaching the hoe: Two quick-connect hydraulic fittings were not included /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. I plan to call Woods on Monday and ask that they dispatch the fittings. Woods sent the first set of missing hardware (2 bolts and 5 washers) post-haste. I hope they will be as accommodating.

Ordered the fittings from Woods on Monday, received them Wednesday. What a quick turn-around /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif The Woods folks have been great. I plan to install the fittings tomorrow. A few hours this Saturday is the only time I have during the week to work on hoe assembly.
